Each member company must
designate how they would like to receive their JULIE messages.
Five delivery methods are available to choose from. The delivery
method determines the ticket rate.

Mobile Text Device Formats
Short Mobile Format
- For text devices with limited character capacity, the data transmitted in
this format contains just the basic and most essential elements of the
locate request. Dig number, priority, dig start date and time, dig site
address, caller name and caller telephone number are included in this
format.
Long Mobile Format - For text devices with higher character capacities, this format contains all of the information listed above plus the nearest cross-street, additional jobsite location information, work type, extent, excavator company name and address, and site contact name and telephone number (depending on device limitations).
While these formats do not include every piece of information that is normally included on locate requests transmitted to traditional member receiving destinations such as printers, e-mail and fax machines, the new mobile formats can alert members about a pending excavation with sufficient information to be able to respond while in the field or away from the office. JULIE members have the option to have selected locate requests such as emergency or high priority tickets sent to their mobile device in addition to their normal ticket receiving destination, providing a more immediate notification about these important requests.
